How can I install or insert the scripts from the affiliate network to my e-commerce website?

I'm adding a shop to my website and want affiliates to promote my products. When I talked to an affiliate network, they gave me a script that I should add to my website, so when affiliates bring traffic to my site they will be attributed, especially when the traffic makes a purchase.
But I'm not entirely sure how to do that? Should I download a plugin or manually insert the scripts to my theme?
I would love to hear back from people who have done this before and share their knowledge. Thank you!

Has anyone had experience with the affiliate network "NutriProfits" so far? They also claim to be the biggest affiliate network in Europe.

I was on the search for a good affiliate network with high fees and found NutriProfits. They claim to be the biggest and fastest growing affiliate network in Europe.
But it looks a bit, you know, shady. There is very few information about them on the internet, the product pages are those clichee "half-scam" sites. They also have penis enlargement products in their product range, you know, that kind of stuff that pops up when you're around 'those' parts of the internet. And the company behind NutriProfits, KeyPlayer, is only a letterbox company in Dubai.
But they have good fees. Up to 40% for some products. Lifetime 20% for every recurring customer and if you refer other people to their affiliate program you forever get 10% of their revenue.
What would you say? I have the feeling money can be made, the question is how sustained it is.

What do you think of this person's comment on AM?

I wrote a post about AM and general questions about ad clicks. Here's what someone said:
"very, very few affiliate marketers are making anything at all, and a tiny subset make real money. usually those are people with their own audience making recommendations. The only people reliably getting paid are the retailers and the affiliate networks. The industry is basically a combination of spam, self-help, amway, and actual legit referral business."
Followed by this comment:
" Most of the people telling you they make a ton of money are full of BS. Affiliate marketing is the bottom feeder industry of digital."
Do any of you agree? I feel like he's not 100% accurate. Maybe he had bad experiences?

Closing in on $5,000's!!! Feeling ecstatic with this growth. I'm fucking killing it.
Let me brag a little bit more with the sweeeeeet UX of my site:
As some of you already know, I've been monetizing via VigLink the past months. I've recently been receiving some questions about it.
The truth is, in my experience, it's not about the network itself at all. It's all about how much the relevancy and variety of the merchants they have in their network overlap with the content of your site.
It's all about the merchant database they have to offer. They're just a bridge between you and the merchants you want to work with. That's it.
To my knowledge and experience, as long as the affiliate network doesn't have something horrible going on with them, then you're good to go.
In other words, affiliate network itself is more of a "pass or fail" thing rather than being something you can improve your site in.
The experience I had with this exact concept in May also proves my point.
I decided to switch from VigLink to another affiliate network because of one merchant I specifically wanted to work with. They weren't in VigLink, so I switched. Except that merchant, nothing had an impact on my site...
I'm unwilling to reveal the name of the affiliate network I just started to work with because unlike VigLink, it does give away my niche.
Revenue breakdown for May:
Lastly, I started an automated link building campaign using Woodpecker and Hunter.io. This is my first time automating the link building process.
I almost did not do ANY link building for my site in the past. Let alone the automation part. So I don't have high expectations. I'll probably struggle, fall off and stand up again until I get this right.
Let's see what my site has to bring in its first month of an automated link building campaign!

Site #2 - Month 2

Month Hours Worked Words/Articles published Traffic (Sessions) Total Income (Affiliate, Ads, Other)
Month 1 (Apr) 100 21,500/9 202 N/A
Month 2 (May) 0 0 845 N/A
And 1,154 pageviews in May!
Very happy to see the growth of this site! Signed it up for VigLink, let's see if I'm getting any approvals once I make some sweet sales!
I'll probably continue investing my entire resources into Site #1 in June as well. So any growth this site will experience this month will be enough make me happy about it!
Thank you for reading. I hope all of you guys and your loved ones are doing well in these hard times!

Our Affiliate Network Account Manager Now Wants a Full Time Job

Hi all!
The company:
Our roles:
Two months ago I signed us up for a managed account with a large UK affiliate network. Over the course of those two months the Affiliate Network has brought in an extra £92k/month so essentially doubling our revenue, thanks in no small part to our account manager setting everything up for us.
Now just this last weekend our account manager sent through an email to the owner saying how much they loved pushing our brand and essentially proposing working full time for our company ,pushing our brand with his contacts and expertise in the affiliate arena.
The problem:
We are all working for just above min wage in the UK to grow the business. It would be great to have someone else on board to push us online as it's just myself doing this on a part-time basis. However we're worried about the costs of on-boarding an affiliate marketer onto the team at this time.
We already get his services, although not as focused, for free as an account manager with our current affiliate network.
I am interested for feedback on the though of bringing on board an online marketing guy in the affiliate space at our current stage? Bad idea to expand the team and increase costs? Or worth it to have someone dedicated to online marketing?
Thanks for reading!

I see multiple affiliate sales with the same GCLID. How is that possible?

As far as I know the GCLID is completely unique for every click on an ad (hence the name: Google Click ID).
So I am running a Search campaign where people land on my page. The page contains affiliate links.
When a visitor clicks on an affiliate link, his GCLID is passed to the affiliate network as a SubID.
In my report at the affiliate network, I see that the same GCLID has generated 5 sales and it is very unlikely that a person buys 5 of that product.
I checked my server logs and I see that all page visits originate from the same IP address.

Does this mean that someone (for example a competitor) is clicking on my ads on purpose and then making fake orders?
Theoretically this would exhaust my Ad Budget without generating real revenue because I will not earn commission on duplicate orders.
Another theory would be that someone shared a link with GCLID in it, but in my server logs I see that all page views originate from the same IP, so this scenario is kinda unlikely.

Does this seem plausible to you guys? Any other idea how this could happen?

10 things you need to know about AffilCoin

AffilCoin is a new decentralized platform that has been designed to solve some of the problems that all affiliate marketing industry members have had to face over the years. To help with these challenges which affiliate marketers face, AffilCoin has developed a new technology stack. With that in mind, the AffilCoin network offers affiliate marketers looking for a strong and well-designed platform to deploy their affiliate marketing tactics on.
One of the problems that affect this billion-dollar industry is the inability of small and medium scale businesses to enter the market because of the high cost of hiring a development team that will develop and deploy helpful applications. Furthermore, marketers can struggle to get proper payments when operating within an affiliate marketing program. With that in mind, these two problems will be solved by the AffilCoin platform and ecosystem.
There are a handful of benefits offered by AffilCoin to empower marketers and through this the AffilCoin platform which will become a crucial tool for CPA networks. With that in mind, let’s dive right in and take a closer look.
1. It Is a Cash Back Platform
Cashbacks are simply apps or websites that offer buyers a percentage of the total amount of money they spend on a particular store or product. These cash back sites receive a commission from these online stores or merchants and share a portion of that commission with customers. The AffilCoin decentralized platform built on the leading and advanced Cosmos and Tendermint blockchain network will offer all customers a percentage of the total amount of money when they shop from merchants on the network.
The AffilCoin platform has been built to encourage customers to jump on some of the offers offered by businesses on this network. To this point, the network aims to be a tool for affiliate marketers. Being a recently developed platform, there are already exciting deals currently being developed that will act as a great incentive to encourage more people to join the AffilCoin network.
2. It Is a Decentralized Platform
Powered by the Tendermint blockchain network, this platform is a fully decentralized one. To this point, the platform will not have a centralized point of failure. It is said to be a decentralized network because there are no third parties on the network. Transactions and consensus are reached by all on the network and not just a select few. Built on blockchain technology, all transactions carried out on the network are immutable, permanent, and secure. These are the features and benefits blockchain technology offers which will be translated to the AffilCoin network.
3. It Is a Delegated Proof Of Stake Platform
Otherwise referred to as DPoS, delegated proof of stake is a consensus algorithm that affords all on the network an opportunity to stake their coins. It is not restricted to users with enough money to purchase expensive mining equipment. DPoS is a voting system where users with staked coins have more vote value than the others. AffilCoin is a DPoS network meaning that network users will have to vote for delegates to represent the platform. To this point, the voters on the network are known as witnesses and they select most of the delegates on the platform. Witnesses are responsible for the validation of transactions on the network while delegates take care of the control and security of the network.
One of the core benefits of integrating this algorithm into the AffilCoin network is that it ensures that users stake this coin for a long period of time and that the payment system protocol is safe. This creates a natural incentive for users to hold on to their tokens instead of constantly selling hem onto the market.
4. New Application Of Blockchain Technology
Unlike some of the other platforms that have been developed, the AffilCoin network makes use of the Tindermint blockchain network that affords businesses an easy deployment of apps. This new blockchain network used makes it easier for small and medium scale businesses to develop and deploy applications on the network. It takes care of the other two layers of the blockchain technology leaving developers with just one layer (application) to worry about.
This sets the AffilCoin platform apart from some of the others that have been developed prior to this time.
5. Create Custom Tokens
The technology behind the development of AffilCoin offers businesses the privilege to create their own custom tokens. As mentioned earlier, the AffilCoin network is developed with two of the leading and most advanced blockchain networks right now. The Cosmos blockchain, for example, allows for the easy integration of apps and the creation of tokens on the network. With these strong technological stacks as a foundation, AffilCoin should be well poised for success to disrupt the affiliate and network marketing sectors.
6. CPA Network
One of the many benefits of this network is the fact that it offers an efficient and cost-effective business model. Most of the time, businesses will have to employ a costly business model if they are to succeed. It has become very difficult for these businesses to get these features but the AffilCoin platform will offer businesses a number of features that can be tailored to meet their needs. In addition to this amazing feature, businesses on the network will be able to develop their own blockchain system to ensure that they are able to manage the many technical aspects of the CPA network.
7. It Is An Ideal Market For Affiliates
The AffilCoin network as mentioned earlier has been designed as a decentralized solution to some of the problems affiliate marketers have had to deal with. It will offer affiliate marketers the opportunity to share links with the assistance of a more advanced network. The platform aims to will help to restore trust in this industry and help to do away with fraudulent affiliate programs.
8. Network Marketers Will Benefit from AffilCoin
The AffilCoin platform has been designed to be one of the best platforms for affiliate marketers. First, it offers a real commission when marketing experts bring more customers to businesses within the affiliate network. The issue of fraud and influx of fraudulent affiliate programs has made it difficult for some affiliate markets to earn money even when they refer customers. The AffilCoin ecosystem and platform will do away with that by offering marketers legitimate programs to earn commissions from.
9. Transparent Technology
Unlike some of the other platforms built on hidden technologies with potentially subpar offerings, AffilCoin is built on the Cosmos and Tendermint blockchain networks that are not just transparent but have been said to be two of the leading networks. Also, blockchain technology itself is a transparent network that is secure, immutable, and permanent. All of which will empower affiliate markets utilizing the Affilcoin ecosystem and platform.
10. It Is Created By Marketers For Marketers
We cannot emphasize enough that AffilCoin as a platform has been created by marketers for other marketers to benefit from. It is a truly decentralized solution to many of the problems in the affiliate marketing industry have had to deal with over the years.
In closing, remember if you ever have any questions about the AffilCoin project, a member of our team is happy to help where we can! Join the conversation about AffilCoin on Telegram or visit our website to learn more about CPA Networks.

Receiving affiliate commissions/income, splitting with 2 friends, best way to split tax?

Hi all,
I'm launching a website with 2 other friends, we'll be receiving affiliate commissions through an affiliate network, we'll be splitting the payouts evenly. The affiliate network account is under my name. They ask me to fill out a W-9, I'll receive the payment pre-tax, then will have to pay tax at the end of the year. I will be paying my 2 friends every month.
How do I make sure all 3 of us will pay taxes on the affiliate income, and not just me? Should I setup an LLC and have them as employees? A 3-way partnership? Or is there something I can do without having to setup any type of business entity?
Thank you!

Increasing Revenues Through Affiliate Recruitment

Master of Malt & Publisher Discovery’s Game-Changing Affiliate Recruiting Project

First published by PerformanceIn.com – 12 May 2020

Mustafa Mirreh of PerformanceIn spoke to Master of Malt and Affiliate Future on how their recent campaign using Publisher Discovery led to high-value affiliates recruited, saving account management time and significantly increasing overall online revenues.

Finding and recruiting new affiliates is one of the most time-consuming tasks in affiliate management, taking many hours each week to do effectively. Affiliate Future (AF) needed a way to quickly analyse the affiliates and provide advertisers meaningful suggestions on who to recruit on to their programme, something that takes considerable time and can be a bottleneck.
Publisher Discovery addressed this with network analysis tools which use new technology-driven by AI and machine learning. They helped simplify the whole process initially with the in-network Recommender tools available to all Affiliate Future advertisers via the network interface. This is extendable with an upgrade to the full Publisher Discovery suite to view competitors across other networks and in multiple geos.
Master of Malt needed to build their affiliate programme to discover more valuable content publishers – and grow online sales via the affiliate network. This was the result of a six-month affiliate recruiting project.
Discussing the project in more detail and the results it delivered, we spoke to John Vickers, head of client services at Affiliate Future and Stephon Anthony, affiliate executive at Master of Malt to find out how the campaign led to over 50 new high-value affiliates recruited. Plus there was a big saving in account management and significantly increased overall online sales, largely attributable to the new affiliates discovered.
Hi Stephon/John, thanks for taking the time to speak with PerformanceIN. Could you tell us a little bit about your journey and what led you to working with Publisher Discovery to expand your current affiliate base?
John Vickers: One of the struggles of account management is publisher recruitment – it takes so much time to find relevant publishers for advertisers. We all know it is an incredibly important aspect of an affiliate programme, but we also know it’s a real pain point.
Affiliate Future has been around for 20 years now and we have a lot of affiliates on the network (over 300,000!). It can take a long time to sift through all these affiliates and find some interesting content/long-tail ones. Publisher Discovery helps our account managers and advertisers with this task. As the tool is fully integrated with the Affiliate Future interface, advertisers are able to use Publisher Discovery immediately, analysing their programme and working through a list of recommended affiliates. They can also send out a message and sign-up link all from the one screen. This process used to take hours or even days, with many spreadsheets – now, it takes just a few minutes.
Publisher Discovery recently added the functionality to analyse an advertiser’s competitor programmes which suddenly changed the tool into a necessity. Imagine being able to pull all the publishers on a competitor programme. Then mark which ones are relevant, send out communication and sign them up to your programme – all from one interface screen and within a single session.
Stephon Anthony: Affiliate Future continuously strives to look for additional opportunities to support the demand for their clients, such as Master of Malt.
Like most advertisers, we are keen on finding new affiliates every day and the size of the affiliate doesn’t matter to us. We focus mostly on the quality of the services they can offer, their reach and particular demographic(s).
From day one when Master of Malt got on-board the affiliate channel. Everything was more or less like a game of supermarket sweep, getting as many affiliates live as fast as possible.
As time progressed, the programme found traction and we began seeing strong performances. Naturally, we wanted more. We wanted to add further scope into content, price comparison and blog/review affiliates. This is when AF introduced us to Publisher Discovery.
The Publisher Discovery Recommender and Gap Analysis Tools utilise advanced AI and machine learning technology. How were these tools implemented into Master of Malt’s recruitment process, and in return, supported you to find the right affiliates for your campaign?
JV: There are a lot of easy to use features with Publisher Discovery, such as finding out if the publisher has other sites, the contact details, along with a really easy to understand GAP analysis table.
The integration of PD has meant we get some extra features within our interface, and allows us to see how relevant a publisher is to an advertiser with “Relevance”, “Value” and “Score”. This means we can work more efficiently with sorting by high value or high relevance rather than having to work through a list alphabetically.
SA: The tools that Publisher Discovery had available was like the missing cog to our affiliate recruitment process. When we got ourselves integrated with them, it synchronised perfectly with our Account Managers suggestions. What’s more, it adds further transparency to what opportunities are available rather than wait for affiliates to find us (Master of Malt), or for a network to notify us.
These tools made Affiliate Recruitment easier, bearable and pretty interesting. I would say it tips the scales between the Network and client, instead of the Network always trying its hardest to find affiliates. It also allows the client to contribute and do exactly what the network does – but more efficiently. It also makes us understand and engage more with the support exec(s)/account manager(s).
Affiliate relationships are vital in any affiliate programme. With several high-value affiliates recruited from using Publisher Discovery and significant time saved, how did this allow more focus to build new relationships to scale and profitability?
JV: It is fantastic we have been able to recruit high value, content publishers on to the Master of Malt programme via Publisher Discovery. This helps Master of Malt, but it also helps the publisher find a new revenue stream. It’s an advertiser they may not have thought about working with previously. Now they are growing their website content and offering more to their own visitors, as well as generating new sales.
As I mentioned earlier, publisher recruitment can be a laborious task. Publisher Discovery makes this vital job significantly easier, helping the account manager to find high-quality sites quickly. This freed up their time to work on other aspects of the account. It has also improved our account managers morale as they are actually getting results quickly.
What was the results from using Publisher Discovery and did this meet your overall objectives?
SA: In short, yes. Publisher Discovery has definitely satisfied our expectations and met all our objectives.
We take advantage of their filtration sliders and to make everything easy. The contact details, website details and social media links are all in one place which makes things smoother.
Last year, we saw a 26% increase in revenue from the affiliates we recruited from Publisher Discovery.
These were pretty small to medium-sized content/blog affiliates. Pretty niche compared to other affiliates out there but this is what we were after, especially in the Wine & Spirits vertical to capture those dedicated users keen to read and buy from Master of Malt.
As an advertiser, would you recommend Publisher Discovery to others looking to scale their affiliate programme and establish new relationships?
SA: Absolutely. It saves time (especially during peak periods), it gives the advertiser a thorough understanding of expectations when it comes to affiliate recruitment. And it’s easy to see what affiliates our competitors are on board with, as well as if it’s worth pursuing or not.
